  • James is a good friend of mine who I also helped develop a website for years back. He enlisted my help in the creation of some CD artwork, which was a process that taught me a few things, and was perhaps one of my first really intense graphics assignments.

  • While working at Sierra Club I had the fortune to work with Rahman Saleem, someone who i've remained friends with since we both moved on in our different paths (which happened to ironically lead us both to Camosun College). His wife Stephanie has been working on promoting her Yoga business which is called Brahmayoni (http://brahmayoni.com/). My part to play in all this was to create some of the graphics to be used in promotional materials including web and print.

  • James (http://www.theiconoclast.ca) has been a friend of the family for many years, and a close personal friend of mine. it has been an interesting process trying to help him to adapt to the new communications options that have come about from the inception of the world wide web and later content management systems.

  • The CLI website (http://cli.rivas.ca/) is a project that I started during school, because i thought it would be amusing to create a unix-like shell that runs as a web based interface. The original idea was simply to embed certain functions into the JavaScript code running on the website client side. I began by making a shell that echos user input by writing it into a div from a standard HTML input. Then i realized that i could use AJAX to make calls back to the webserver to complete requests that were carried by the http POST method.
